History

D. E. Quarles, Sr. began a career in the oil business in 1939, with his wife, Gladys, and their son, D. E. Quarles, Jr., operating one truck in Warrenton, Virginia.

Today Quarles Petroleum is a fuel oil distributor, propane supplier, service station supplier, fleet fuel site provider and convenience store operator.

The Quarles Fuel Network is the largest private fueling network on the East Coast. Our locations are expanding throughout six states in the Mid-Atlantic to make it easy to choose Quarles as your total fleet fuel provider.

We recently reorganized to accommodate growth and improve service to our customers. Together with 450 employees throughout Virginia and Maryland, Quarles Petroleum is celebrating over 60 years of pride and service to the communities in which we do business.
