Throughout the year, Quarles employees are consistently working to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
One such initiative is the Summer Diaper Drive. Quarles employees will donate and collect diapers to benefit local families in the community who may not be able to afford this essential item for their children.
DID YOU KNOW?
- 22% of all children under five years old in the U.S. live in poverty and 1 out of every 3 families struggle to afford diapers.
- If a family cannot afford diapers, a baby may spend extended periods of time in the same soiled diaper, which can have a negative impact on the child, parent, and the health of the community.
- Diapers can cost an average of $75-$100 per month, a cost that is a lot to handle for 46.2 million people living in poverty in the U.S.
The health and social consequences for babies and families who do not have access to diapers can create a ripple effect in our communities. Lack of enough diapers can lead several problems for families in need, such as more health problems for babies, lack of sleep for parent and child, and under-educated toddlers. Something as basic as a diaper can actually have a big impact on a family’s ability to become financially self-sufficient.
In order to help this cause, Quarles employees will donate diapers and monetary contributions to the cause throughout the month of June.

In addition, Quarles will host a “bake sale” event at the headquarters location, with all proceeds going to buy diapers.
