Team Collects More Than 8,000 Diapers for Local Families in Need
September 8, 2015 | Fredericksburg, VA — For the second year in a row, Quarles associates collected boxes of diapers and wipes for local families in need, nearly doubling the impact from last year.
This year, Quarles associates donated 8,310 diapers and 4,358 wipes to the organization Healthy Families Rappahannock Area. Their mission and purpose of Healthy Families is to offer long term prevention services to families through supportive partnerships, viable community resource options and promoting empowerment and independence. The program fosters creative partnerships based on healthy family interactions, parent and child bonding and advocacy for the physical and emotional health of children and families.
The diapers are collected and donated as part of an effort to address an oft-overlooked need in the community. Access to clean diapers helps to keep infants and babies healthier, and in turn, creates a healthier environment for their parents, siblings, and caregivers.
Quarles associates showed their commitment to the cause by donating above and beyond the stated goal of 7,000 diapers. The diaper drive echoes Quarles’ commitment to their values—mobilizing resources to support community needs.
