Volunteers Support Non-Profits for RUW Annual Day of Action

September 29, 2017 | Fredericksburg, VA — Quarles proudly supports our local communities, and one way is by participating in the Rappahannock United Way’s Annual Day of Action. This year’s event took place on Friday, September 22, and mobilized hundreds of volunteers at over 20 companies throughout our community.

Day of Action connects volunteer teams from area businesses with local non-profits and schools to help serve the needs of those organizations. Quarles associate Sharmela Campbell shared how Day of Action makes her feel good because people are doing things for others.

“To see our company come together and do something like this means a lot,” said Campbell as she was preparing to head to the Children’s Museum of Richmond–Fredericksburg to clean, paint and spruce up their educational play areas. “It makes me feel good because we are a family-oriented company. It’s nice to see [Quarles] cares about the community as much as I do.” #RUWACTION
